Professional 5 Element Acupuncturist, TCM Acupuncturist, Kinesiologist, EFT Practitioner, Owner of Well Being Therapies.

Susan's first 3 years training in Oriental Medicine were at the College of Traditional Acupuncture in Leamington Spa, studying pure Five Element Acupuncture , achieving her first Chinese Medicine qualification, Licentiate in Acupuncture in 1994.

Further 2 years studying TCM Acupuncture, achieving a 2 year post graduate qualification in 1997, then went on to achieve a further Chinese Herbal Medicine qualification.

Unusually, she is one of a small number of Professionally Qualified Acupuncturists qualified in both Five Element and TCM Acupuncture. She is also a qualified EFT Practitioner and Kinesiologist, a level 3 Nutrition Diploma holder, and also has a diploma in Chinese Herbal Medicine.

Chinese Medicine & Background

Susan Nelson-Sheldon is a highly experienced professional Acupuncturist, in full time practice for 30 years, and unusual as she's qualified in both Five Element & T.C.M. Styles of Acupuncture. (Traditional Chinese Medicine).

Was for many years a member of the British Acupuncture Council, and served with them as East Midlands Continuing Professional Development Facilitator for 2 years, showing her commitment to continued learning and high standards.

Now a professional member of the Association of Acupuncture Clinicians, part of the British Acupuncture Federation

Only single use sterilised disposable needles are used, disposed of immediately after treatment.

In her career she has founded a large multi-disciplinary alternative health centre, worked as Acupuncturist to Toyota Derby, and been Continuing Professional Development Facilitator for the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) East Midlands Region.

Using Traditional Chinese Medicine Diagnostics of Colour, Sound, Odour and Emotion, Questions, each patients constitutional type is established, forming part of the treatment plan.

EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique, also known as Tapping, and sometimes called Meridian Tapping Technique.

Specific Acupuncture points are gently tapped on, but no needles are used.

EFT is incredibly good for emotional pain and trauma, helping resolve unresolved emotional issues, whether recent or long ago.
